The best free software is AVG! from grisoft. But be warned- the free AVG is not a complete replacement for a complete suite- such as Norton. The free AVG contains no real-time protection- which means you will have to run the scans yourself and it does not have as big of a database of "known virus." I would highly recommend buying a full suite- Norton is your best bet
